Herdade do Freixo do Freixo do Meio is a Private Company in Alentejo, Portugal. Established in 1996 the
company runs a State with 440 ha under an agro-ecology concept. Fully organic certified since 2001, the farm developed a multifuntion strategy that includes production, processing, distributing, retail and agroturism activities. Managing an agroforest system focused on food production, the company produces all the mediterranean diet products except fish (e.g. meat, cereals, pulses, fresh vegetables, milk, bakery, cooked food, olive oil, wine, vinegars, vegetable conserves). The full staff complement is 24 people. Main food produts are delivered by a store located in Lisbon.
