Teagasc - the Agriculture and Food Development Authority

Teagasc is the national body responsible for providing integrated research, technology transfer and training services for the sustainable development of agriculture and the food processing industry in Ireland. Moorepark Animal and Grassland Research and Innovation Centre (AGRIC) has carried national responsibility for all aspects of dairy and pig production research for more than 50 years and is a leading
international centre for agricultural research. The continuing role is to anticipate the production needs of a rapidly changing farming environment and provide producers with new and adapted technologies to improve competitiveness and efficiency, while ensuring environmental quality is protected.
